Hello,

I am looking for an A2 buffer in the San Jose, CA area. I have tried all the stores I know of in the area.

I went to a local gun shop and asked for an A2 buffer and spring. I should have checked but I they sold me a Carbine buffer. When I went to bring it back, the guy that sold it to me said that its fine because its heavier and will work as he "uses them on all the rifles he builds with the A2 stock"

I don't feel comfortable using it as it is a great deal shorter than the A2 buffer and leads me to believe that this may cause a bolt carrier over travel problem?

Thank you in advance!

Try Reed's Indoor Range in Santa Clara. They usually have a rfile buffer or two in stock.

That was my first stop! They are out. I normally don't stray from there as the guys there treat me good even though I usually don't have any money to pick up anything or significant value.

Thanks for the suggestion though! If no one has an extra to sell, I'll just have to test out my C&R discount @ Brownell's or Midway.

Someones gotta have an extra one?
