Great deal. Will you be able to get 308. in the future? I couldn't locate the RAA page on your rifle section on the website. Another location?:)

I will look into the 308 rifles. RAA is under Russian American Armory Company

Does the 7.62x39mm model accept AK-47 magazines or does it only accept proprietary Saiga 10 round mags?

It appears that an AK47 mag needs to be slightly modified to fit it

Does anyone know what is involved with converting a mag
to fit one of these rifles?

you need to file some parts and add a bullet guide kit ( which involves minor drill and tapping) also you'll have to follow the 922r game once you modify just to be on the safe side. this involves replacing certain number of parts with US made parts.

Nice. I hope you get the 308 model soon. I'd like to order one of them and one of the other calibers, both at the same time.

i think mods to the gun to take ak mags will force you to play 922r
but I have ordered from dean and have nothing but good things to say

Saiga mags are proprietary as Saigas lack a feedramp/bullet guide on the barrel entry point, the mags act as the feedramp/bullet guide. On top of that, the AK mags are just a little bit taller in the feed lips and don't quite fit and lock into a Saiga.

Ask me how I know LOL?

Looking forward to you getting some .308s in some time in the future when I've got some expendable cash. I've already purchased two OLL from Dean, great service, price, and super fast shipping.

Have a great Kenpo day

For people who do not have preban AK magazines:
1. Leave the rifle as it is with the factory 10 rounders -zero dollars
2. Find Saiga specific magazines and have them converted to 10 rounders-about $25 for magazine plus conversion fee.
3. Add a bullet guide and enough U.S. parts to convert (modify the mag catch) the rifle to use 10 round or 10/30 AK magazines.-about $80-$100

For people who do have preban AK magazines:
Only modify the rifle to use the magazines. Do not modify your prebans to use in the saiga, because it won't work in a regular AK afterwards, and you may have just manufactured a post ban high cap magazine.

I agree that Dean is a great seller. I got 4 OLL's from him. Prices are awesome, customer service was great, and shipping was fast.

And you could also be in Felony violation of possession and manufacturing high-capacity magazines. Modifying one to make it fit a different weapon is considered manufacturing.

Before folks start off on a tangent here... I'll add the provision "...provided that the mods make it STOP working in the original weapon"

Mods which strictly ADD compatible weapons are silly in my opinion, but seem to be legal.

How about something in 7.62x54R? I see all these great PSL rifles, but its hard to find someone to ship it without the stock. It'd be nice if someone would make them CA compliant and ship them. I know I would buy one.

By the way, I love my WASR 10. Thanks DDs!
