Customer bought a new in box Browning Maxus 12 ga. for waterfowl hunting. He sent it back to Browning once for an issue and they fixed and returned it. He was using factory loads, within specs set for the gun. The receiver essentially blows out causing minor ear damage and a cheek bruise.

He calls Browning, the gun is still under warranty. They arrange for him to send it back, which he does. They cannot determine (or, will not disclose) the cause of the blowout. Bottom line, they will not repair or replace the gun, but won't say why. They have not, to date, sent the damaged gun back.

The customer wants to know if there is a direct line to someone in the Browning hierarchy he can contact to resolve this, and are any of the CGN friendly lawyers available to handle this sort of thing (product liability) since they seem to deal alot with gun regulations?

Thanks for any info.

sounds like it's lawyer time. Hope your customer isn't too bad off.

Browning is owned by FNH, contacting the parent company may have some better luck.
