I have 2 questions:

1) As I have just completed a ftf-PPT and started my 10 days wait, I received a notice from a dealer that my pistol order is done and ready to be shipped; do I have to wait 30 days for my recent DROS for PPT before I could start DROS for the new pistol?

2) I am interested in WC's 1911 frame+slide on their website and would like to have a Californian Gunsmith to custom build one for me. Would I be able to do so or was it just simply illegal to buy/build from 1911 frame/slide in California?

Many thanks in advance.

PPTs are exempt from the 1 in 30.

For a handgun to be transferred in CA it has to be on the certified list or be exempt (ie. single shot or single action revolver) or the purchaser has to be exempt (ie. LEO, PPT transfer). Once you get the firearm, then you are free to modify it. So you can not transfer a frame in CA unless you are exempt or it is an exempt transfer, such as a PPT.
