I'm not sure what the point of this was other than "hey, I wonder what happens".
At the end of the day, the guy now has "fire formed" 50BMG that now match the chamber of a 12gauge shotgun. If the net result is a shadier quality, longer version of these brass cases, why not just buy these cases for your slug chunking reloads?

From their other videos, this whole thing started as a warning about ammo mix ups using a .410 shotgun. They shot a couple .444 Marlin thinking it would be catastrophic but nothing happened. They then fired a couple .454 Casull thinking it would fail, but no, it worked perfectly besides keyholing.

This was more "well we know it won't explode lets just shoot it." for the viewers curiosity sake.

A better option if you want to launch 50 BMG bullets would be my RSS load. i devloped it to be safe to use in any modern 2 3/4" 12 gauge.

Because the point wasn't to fire form brass, the point was to do it and see what the result would be.
