Anybody know a good place to get a recoil shoulder pad? one something that looks likes this. http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/public/ftO8ttobIH9AJRQJIp3NgR86-Tgr5Z9gPRTwwKl6NE77rU-WwXObgfvaukkfFEUHNdcPhYaNUuzmPwnt_8NOEPnfTxkGUSXf7 dsi4drenMf62jtsJS830WL2Y8OxQkjZlqyfyzyN6_WW

something along this area but with some serious padding.

I have feeling all this Swiss Flu and Mauser talk...har har!

+1 on the Past. I have the Magnum Plus one that my wife/kids use when they shoot some of my milsurps. I also like using it to increase my LOP when I shoot my PSL.

I use a PACT. Looks pretty much like your pic, OP. Got it through Midwayusa.

I wear it for the 30-06 rifles.

Most of the guys who shoot the milsurp silhouette matches at Sac Valley use them. I think I have 3 of them.

This is the pad I use: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Kick-Killer-Slip-On-Butt-Pad-with-VELCRO174-brand-fastener/734596.uts?WTz_l=Header%3BSearch-All+Products

It's more expensive than the one above, but it also looks a lot better IMO. Plus it's real easy to transfer between rifles. I find the medium size works on most of my rifles.

On the 16th I shot over 200 rounds of 8mm Mauser out of my Yugo, metal butt plate. Ended the day with a sore shoulder, few days later I noticed the yellow skin from bruising. then last Saturday I did a match and shoot on top of that bruise. Well, it hurt like hell and I got used to it. I forgot of the pain because of my shotty shooting. I don't got a bruise now, its just a little tender.

I'll never get a pad or replace the metal butt plate!

ps, fat helps too. :D

I bought one of those (Bob Allen-brand) at Big 5 for $20 or so. It works great and you can use it with any gun you want and not have to consider altering a collectable rifle to enjoy shooting it. I've seen them at Sportsman's Warehouse too.

I shoot a few rifles that kick more than I like, and I got my recoil pad from Cabela's. It has saved me from a lot of bruising, although if I overdo it, my shoulder is still tender for a few days. No idea what it's made from, but it seeems to work well.

You can usually find them at your local department store right next to the maxi pads hahahahah! Jk midway has a very nice selection of shoulder pads.

I bought the PAST Shoulder recoil at Turners believe it or not. Was only 20 bucks and it was the last one. It worked I will say that! my shoulder wasn't sore at all...but then again only shot the k-31 a couple of relays. Was focusing more on the SKS.

I got one of those pads after I bruised my shoulder when I took my 1903 to the range. I got tired of the pad falling off my shoulder, so I bought a shooting jacket instead. I haven't tried the jacket out yet, because I need adjust my stock inletting.
