I read in a different post that some company makes reproduction of the stg44 called ptr44. The link doezntbwork. Anyone know where we can get these repros or something similar ca legal wise?

I heard that there was only 200 ptr44's made and out of that only 150 worked. Supposedly they are VERY expensive like 5 grand.
And there are no spare parts out there for them

To make it cal legal you would have to do a bullet button (may have to design and make your own) or probably easier would be a grip wrap.
Either way you would have to block the magazine to 10 rounds. (Since you more then likely didn't just happen to have one pre 2000)

Probably the closest you will ever own one unless you have exceedingly deep pockets is to get one of the new ATI 22lr clones that are coming out this year

They do have 10rd mags on gunbroker for 190.00.

personally i think the fallschirmjaeger rifle is way cooler. cant imagine shooting 8mm out of something that small! :)

GSG is working on a full size 22lr copy of the STG44. suppose to be ready this summer.

22lr is fun as hell and as I already said if you don't have over 5k to drop on the real deal its the closest you will ever get

StG44 in .22 LR? Next thing we'll see a dress-up kit for a Ruger 10/22 that looks like one... (And why not?)
