View Full Version : Did I just hose myself?

I've been looking for a 20-24" varmint upper in a 1/8 twist, and happened to be over at ARF an hour ago and saw this and on impulse spoke up and took it.

Of course now I suspect I hosed myself somewhat.

Opinions please, and don't hold back.

I rarely impulse buy, and not knowing much about ARs, this was not the place to do it.

Thanks for your input.

I don't think you hosed yourself. it's stainless... and comes w/ the bipod and scope. Not sure about the quality of the scope (don't recall if it mentioned the brand). BCG and CH are cheap to get. . . You may have wanted to offer something 5% lower at the most, but I don't see it as a bad deal at all.

looks like a good deal to me.

That doesn't seem bad at all.

$610 complete with BCG from RRA. Not including bipod or scope.

Sounds like a fair deal. I think the seller did better than you did on the deal, but it was still fair.

SPF Varmit upper, RRA 20inch Wylde Chambered barrel, Redfield Tracker 4-16x40 scope with Bulter Creek caps, Armalite scope mount, HAUN Precision 1/2 riser rail, Harris Bipod. Nice shooting upper that will handle all ammo... .223 and 5.56 without a hickup. No BCG or charging handle included. $500 obo SPF

Considering that he put $500 obo, you could have done a little better.:D

J/k nice set up.

You did pretty good but since he had OBO on there I'm sure you offered less,no?:D

As long as yours shoots within 18MOA of POA, you got a better deal than I did on ARFCOM EE.

That aside, it looks like a good deal to me.

I paid $600 for my upper without scope. You got a fair deal.

Thanks for the input guys.

I'm a little happier now, but still rather annoyed at myself for jumping at a deal that appeared really good to me, rather than considering all the angles. I was looking at bipod, scope and mounts probably a little too much.

Not a bad deal.... SJGE has a colt var upper from somewhere around $650.00 so not bad at all.
