View Full Version : Italian-Made Beretta 92FS

I own an American-made 92FS, and love it. Never had any problems with it. Today, I was at a fun store, and saw that they had an Italian-made 92FS. The finish looked a lot nicer than mine when it was new. Interesting. I asked to look at it, and I examined it. I racked the slide, and the action just feels so much smoother than mine.

What's the deal? Are the Italian-made ones actually better made?

Guns are typically made better or seem better when built by the original makers whether that means country of origin. I hear similar comments at the sig forum where everyone says all German made Sigs are better than the US made ones today. Truth to this shoudl be the gun it self should speak for itself. Your handling, seeing, and feeling the difference in quality is a good example.

I'm more of a Giada Delaurentis fan myself.

Funny, A friend of mine has an Italian job, and I have the American one. My action seems smoother. But his finish is so much better, and his overall fit feels tighter.

For some reason they feel slightly different in the hands, and mine shoots better. ;)

Of course that might be personal opinion.

Yeah, funny. They're both the same gun, but I really do feel the difference in my hand.
