Ok, I'm gonna stop buying stuff for a while (at least till after April 15). Longer if I can show some willpower. I was only going to pickup my little SIG Mosqueto from Metroshot two weeks ago when I saw this:

and dag-nabbit it's in my dining room now! Howdsat happen! Gonna get the green furnature for it, and either make a bullet button or non pistol grip. For tomorrow, I will reload through the ejection port (yes I have leather gloves). Spent some time today making the little lock thingy (it came with a plastic one, so I made an alu one) and doing a clean/lube. Anybody sucessfull in making a BB for one of these yet?

JLD enterprizes PTR-91.

they are probably one of the best G3 clones made, and are very nice.

I'm working up a design as I type for a PIN-MAG-LOCK for the HK-91.

since the HK uses a similar mag catch as the AR15 rifle it wont really be that hard to do. I'm expecting to have the lock hammered down to 2 or 3 designs by the middle of next month.

It will use the stock catch arm and spring and a 3/8 to 7/16 diameter projection where the mag release button is currently.

More updates when I come up with them.

Shot it today :D . Loading is a snap, maurice05, since I have small fingers, I just stood over the rifle, leaned the gun against my waist, and used both thumbs to load throught the ejection port. Even though I had leather gloves (in case the gun was hot after shooting) I did not need them, it only got slightly warm. No problem loading. It shoots about 7 inches high at 100 yds so I have to use a 12oclock hold and that gets me to about 3 inches high. BUT, before my almost 50ish eyes tired I managed a 10 shot 1 3/4 inch group at 100yds. Not bad for irons!

Only bad thing, I used my last battle pack of SA. It was so old, the price sticker was $36.00 which was high at the time, from a local dealer. Now I can't get that for twice the price in stock anywhere on the internet.:(

Well, with 922r, I will have to install a US made trigger and sear, or find a US made 10 round mag in order to put green furnature on it. I ordered the furnature, so now I am being forced by law to change out perfectly good parts just because they were not made here. I can have 10 foreign parts out of the 16 that are listed in 922. Right now, I have 9 so I can have the green butstock or grip or handguard, but not two or more of them. The quickest would be a US 10 round mag but who the heck has those!??!!

BTW if anyone absolutely has to have a wide green forearm here is a guy selling one or more. HE wants 75.00 each shipped. This seems like a pretty good deal as I paid 136.00 for my Brand new black wide forearm.

Text from his thread.
$75 each shipped to the lower 48.
Quantity discounts available.
These are new hand guards in the sealed plastic
wrap. MFG in 2004. Not HK marked. With metal
heat shield and bi-pod slots.

rorschach makes 10/20 round mags. I bought from him for my HK setup when I use the lock he made and it works great.

I would advise you give him a PM if you want to pick one or more up.

Damn that thing is cool...How much?

03-22-2007, 4:47 PM
Besides POF, does any know of someone who has the bipod for the handguard in SAS's picture above?

Builder, http://hkspecialist.net/stocks.htm
They show the bipod, never dealt with this dealer so have no experience with them.

SemiAuto, it looks like mine came with one of rorschachs 10/20 mags, riviteted and epoxied, already! But yea, I will need more once my Kydex grip is made up this weekend! Just got my order today, along with special screw/plates and rivets. Once done, my PTR will be FREEEEE with it's open magwell and no evil features!:D

proraptor, it was a typical 'too high KA price' of $1040 with tax and dros. BUT I have wanted one for so long. BRD in KA is very expensive!

Shooting this was as much fun as shooting my first AR! Only with a bigger BOOM! And it is as accurate as my Israeli mauser. Bottom line here, I have too many guns, no money and I have to pay maybe $700 in KA use tax to cover what I bought online to make my ARs last year. Gotta figure out that this weekend too :(
