I put up a video showing how to make and shoot cut shells and got a few questions about how exactly they work, so I decided to make a video showing how a shotgun shell works, and how cut shells work differently than regular shotshells.

I would think this would raise the pressure in the chamber when the plastic hull makes contact with the forcing cone.

I would imagine it does, but with the low pressure of shotgun shells, they're relatively safe to fire.

It will work, but it won't eject properly. The half of the shell that's left is too short, and will just sit in the election port. It's the same as shooting it in a pump, which I've tried.
