That's easy for you to say. You probably don't even own a sword. I do, and I need to find where I can get it sharpened before the ban goes into effect.

It's a Navy officers sword, 40 years old that I bought at OCS. It's only been used twice, once to poke one of my classmates at OCS and once at a change of command. So it needs a good sharpening!

I've been meaning to buy a couple of machetes too. I figure we have maybe two weeks before they're banned.

I'll admit one thing, using a sword is an excellent way to change your command.

"Who is the new Captain?"

"That's Captain Ed. Brigade HQ sent him over after I decapitated Captain Bob."

Actually, this thread was brought to my attention by correspondents. I've never heard of that place before now.

Swords! Geez. Guess that means crossbows and siege towers are next. I knew it was just a matter of time before that giant boulder throwing catapault in my back yard was counted as a armament of war. :)) Guess I'm going to have to register it.

You'll have to pry my trebuchet from my cold, dead aircraft hanger.

You have a Trebuchet? Those are were developed for midevil military castle destroying purposes and have no real practical civilian use!!

Does the republic know about this? I bet they will feel threatened! :p

I called and asked the DOJ about Trebuchets about 2 weeks ago and they said they consider them "Destructive devices in California".
