Is that Popular Mechanics? Because if it is, I wouldnt rely on them for firearms news. They probably just picked it because it is new.

That article really made me laugh!

It's amazing what some writers will actually put in print!

I'd love to see the actual 400yd target, with the "consistent hitting within a few inches" !

I'd be growing a beard waiting for that to happen.

These magazine articles and TV shows are really getting to be too much.

It's called marketing ;)

I guess Sigarms need to counter all the bad stuff that has been written about the 556...

Swiss arms made a wise decision not letting Sigarms produce 550, 551, or 552s in the US.

What SWAT where? Are they trying to say all SWAT teams are going to transition to the 556?

I was looking for that too. No mention of any specific departments, which I interpret as zero SWAT teams of any significance adopting it.

Just a fluff piece so they could put in a pretty picture.

What is so bad about the rifle?Nothing bad about it, just an overhyped magazine article.

EVERY SWAT TEAM EVER WILL BE REPLACING THEIR FOURTY YEAR FAILURE OF AN AR-15 AND BOWING DOWN TO THIS SUPREME EUROPEAN GODDESS.

JUST INCHES ACROSS AT 400 YARDS.

THE ONLY GAS PISTON HAND CRAFTED BY JESUS HIMSELF.

I dunno - but see what "appears to be" a gas piston instead of a gas tube, has grabbed my possible interest..

To think - a rifle that doesn't **** where it eats? Good concept IMHO. :)
