There is a chance that I will able to interest a few new shooters for the Castro Valley Feb 18-19 class.

Are the any loaner rifles for loan or rent?

There will be at least three loaners (10/22s) available, likely more.

Not too late to pick them up some Marlin 795's ;)

Speaking of which J&R in Livermore mentioned in their latest newsletter that they have a bunch of 10/22s in stock.

Can't believe the February Appleseed's already sold out.

I had to reduce the number of positions available for this shoot due to the high probability of bad weather (well, you'd think, but who knows this year!), in which case we'd shoot from under cover and have to deal with posts & benches in the way.

If the weather is forecast to be good 2-3 days in advance, I'll ask the folks running registration to open up some more slots and I will post here so Calgunners find out.

It may very well be nice - February is often dryer than March, that's for sure.

In any case, I'll be seeing you in April.

Are there any loaner rifles for the April shoot? How does one get on the list?

Once you sign up (I assume you did since I saw your post on the other thread), then you contact the shoot boss - who happens to be me :D - and let me know you need a loaner. Helps if you can give me some idea of your body size / arm length so I can try to reserve one that will fit - no guarantees!

And it's BYO ammo, we're not THAT nice. :p The bulk packs of 22LR from Wallyworld or the like should work fine. Standard velocity will do, don't let them sell you 'super velocity' or that sort of stuff, we're punching paper not woodchucks.

Myself and my two daughters are enrolled. I just brought another 10/22 from big 5, 4000 rounds of 22 blaser from dunns and 2 gi slings from the Appleseed site. I was hoping to barrow a rifle because i'm not sure if my youngest (14) will like it enough to buy a marlin 795. I'm your average 5'10" fillipino but with a 44" gut :rolleyes:

One of my loaner 10/22s has a youth-size stock, I'll save it for your daughter.
