wondering, if anyone can see any way that this would cause any issues beyond the questions if the bullet button "attachable" magazine is legal. let me know what you guys think, right now it doesnt have the stock attached in case someone can find something illegal about it, i cant but wanted to see what everyone here thought before i put the stock on it.

nice rifle. there was a model that came in with the bayo lug also.
those romy 54rs are getting scarce. definetly a good investment.
It looks like it's aluminum. Is the screw and nut able to be used without the aluminum cover so it can be used with a filled in stock for regular detaching of the magazine? I like to use the morepoops lock for storage and display and a mm or no grip for the range.

Not in the US. I bought one of the first batches that actually came with the military issue IOR scopes (later batches included the Belarus PSO-1), and all of the PSLs that were imported never had the bayonet lug installed by the manufacturer, though a few might have had them installed but ground off though I've never seen one.

There were a couple of early parts kits that came in with the bayonet lug, but most of them either had them ground down or were never produced with them, and putting one of those barrels on a PSL would require you to replace parts with 922(r)compliance parts.

the psl-54c. has the bayo lug. I'm pretty sure.

Are there any bullet buttons for the PSL?

The PSL uses the normal AK trigger guard and release.

This is somewhat a bullet button, i'll get a video of me dropping the mag today.

its pretty easy, just insert an allen wrench and push it forward and pull up on the mag.

going through my photobucket i see, yes i do need a haircut, been too busy or too lazy when i have time.

here is a picture of the completed rifle with the AK/PSL bullet button.

basically i cut down the mag catch lever to be level with the top of the guard/housing and the put a piece of thin sheet steel over it, and held it there with nut and bolt, pretty simple but it works.

Yes, that is correct. I didn't know there had been any recently imported models with it.

thanks! this one may be up for trade sooner or later, to fund a pistol caliber carbine i want.

the kits are rare now, i remember being able to find them all over the place, but now it seems like everyone is out of stock!

Could you post close-up picture of mag release?
Thanks

here are some detail pics, i dont have my nicer camera so i cant take any really nice ones, but hopefully these will be enough.

it is thin steel sheet, but since its such a small area i cant bend it far enough to get close to the mag catch, im going to make a thicker one soon, but for now this was a prototype.

here is a cleaner version i just whipped up, you can use the original pin to hold it in, and it doesnt cover up the sides of the housing, so its flush.

i can make a few and send them out for the cost of shipping, all they are is cut thin sheet metal, i'd like to do a thicker version but with the one that goes inside the housing, and sits flush is very nice because you can use the original pin, plus it just looks like you have no mag release button sticking out, and this is the thickest i could go without it interfering with the mag release, of course i could go thicker and have it be on the outside but then it would require paint, and using a screw and bolt.

what are the thoughts on that, the area over which is exposed is almost too small to bend with a thumb pushing on it, however with a tool it can be bent fairly easily, but it should always cover the mag release.

or should i go with the one that doesnt look as good, but is thicker?

the only real downside of this is that you cut the mag catch lever shorter to use it.

The one you currently have on the PSL is good. Flush, sits inside, no paint required and does the job well. PM sent btw...

there are the dimensions for anyone that wants them, im using 1/64" thick sheet metal, the kind used in ducting and whatnot, i have thicker sheet steel but thats the thickest i could go and have it be inside the mag catch.

i also didnt measure the cutout for the tool, i will leave that up to you on how llarge/small you feel safe making it.
