Thanks! going to pick-up some running shoes :)

Just looked at their weekly ad; pretty disappointed in the ammo prices.
These are the sale prices , so only 10% off...
WWB:100rounds:9mm=$29.99
WWB:100rounds:40sw=$38.99
WWB:100rounds:45acp=$49.99

Remington & Mossberg shotgun, Ruger & ATI .22's looks good, too lazy to research, since I don't care for them at the moment.

ya, big 5 is a big waste for ammo unless you are desperate.

They had 500 round bricks of CCI Blazer ammo for $16 a few weeks ago. You just have to wait for a good (better perhaps) sale.

That is the ONLY time it is ever worth buying ANYTHING from Big 5. Their "sale" prices are a complete joke, usually more expensive that normal prices at any real gun store. The bricks of CCI Blazer are the only thing they sell gun related that is really close to good value.

Their hoppe's products, gun/rifle socks, and most of the clp they carry, are a great deal cheaper than your lgs

Big 5 has its uses. Firearms and ammo are not among them.

Say what you want about Big 5, they are the only big chain store willing to carry firearms and ammo in LA. For that they get my money.

Just picked up 2 Marlin 795 10 round mags for $13.49 using the 25% off coupon!

My local one had Remington 9mm jacketed hollow points in 100 round boxes for $40. Looks like it's a promotional box of some kind. Slap on a coupon.

Hrmmm I might just pick up two Ruger 10/22 magazines after work today. If I am reading right, I can have up to (2) of each: knives and gun accessories at 25% off regular or 15% off the sale price. So each mag is $19....I can buy each at around $14.25. The question is, are magazines considered accessories, according to their policy?

Yes, I just went and got two more mags for my Marlin 795 for $13-something each.

That's about three hours after I bought one @ Turner's for $17+

Ammo prices are so so - you have to know what you are buying. Agree that the .22 ammo is the most common thing I buy from them, 12g sport/game loads would be next.

What I do like over there are the knives. Even some of the MIC knives aren't too bad for the price. I picked up a couple of KA-BAR folders that were on sale for $9.99 each - they've worked out to be great pocket knives that I carry on a daily basis.

Just picked up a S&W camping set of knives with the current coupon, as well as a S&W folder. both were $15 on sale and got an additional 15% off with the coupon.

Shoes are great price too.
