I had been looking for something inexpensive to use as a lockable transport container for long guns and as much as I would like a Pelican case, they're a little steep for me right now.
I found this on Amazon for $45.

I figured for $45, how bad can it be, right? So I ordered it and was very pleasantly surprised. It's plenty long enough for anything I own at 52 inches overall length. It can hold 2 long guns easily. It has interchangeable "cradles" that you can custom configure to hold what you need and some pretty stout velcro straps to secure everything in place. It has a chintzy tubular lock on one of the latches, but has two separate "tabs" for a padlock. Carry handle seems stout enough and overall it looks like it can take a beating. I will probably purchase a couple more.
