I have been beating this one around for a while. Kind of getting the itch for older weapons as I picked up a really nice Sweedish Mauser and recently a correct grade M-1 Garand from the CMP.

With the dealer benefits at suppliers and the ability to purchase C&R out of state, what the heck.

Picked up some beneficial info here. Thanks to all who help the rest of us get smarter.

Good job.

Has any put a list of vendors together that offer 03 FFL discounts/benefits? Brownells, Midway, entry to SHOT....

Great choice, I saved the cost of the license on my first buy, and wholesale at brownells has been a gift from god :)

I see today they charged my CC.

Now the real wait begins.

Is there a consensus on how long from once they charge the card that you get the approval? Just curious.

I have been told anyting from 3 weeks to 90 days.

Once I get a response, I will post it here so others can get a general idea how long a decision takes.

49 days so far? not too bad, IMO. It took me 78 days to receive my license. Hang in there.

How much do they charge and do you have to renew it every year? Is there a difference between C&R and regular FFL?

My 03 FFL arrived in the mail today. Have burned multiple copies (unsigned) and will be getting evelopes ready to mail off the vendors with signature.

I have the usual suspects in mind, Midway, Brownells, Mid-South, J&G, Natchez etc, are there ones that I should make sure to include?

Also, is there any cover letter I should include and or address to a specific dept at these vendors?

Thanks for the help!

Mine came in the mail yesterday. The entire process/wait was around 50 days but that's not too bad considering who we are dealing with here.
