View Full Version : Should I sell my Mini-30

O.K. I reallly really want a 6.5 grendel AR upper, but saving for it is going slow. I am considering selling my mini-30 to get the rest of the funds I need. I already have an SKS(which I like better) for 7.62x39 and the mini just sits around mostly. Just wanted to see what other people thought

sure...I'll give you two bills for it.

what kind of condition and price for the mini-30?
And there is an Overwatch for sale right now (don't think it will last very long):

yeah C.G. thats the one I was looking at. like to get 450 for the mini. I've had some trigger work done to it.

I had a mini 30 for about a week. I sold it to get something else. If you own an SKS, you really won't miss the mini.

Doesn't the mini have detachable mags? Because the SKS doesn't... :-/

Yeah, but if it's not marked "SKS", then it CAN have detachable mags (after playing the 922r game). :D
sell it. the mini 14 is better imho. the grendal round is pretty cool. i just started to read more about it. i looked at the 458 socom round but read it gets dirty fast and really works hard on the upper parts. so keep that in mind with the larger cases of powder. i'm thinking about a 6.8 in a m468 or mark 12 mod 0 upper.

I think it all depends on if you have any high caps for it or not. If so, i would keep it. Who knows, mini's could get banned in the near future. Uppers will always be around.

yeah that's that rub- Sure its a detachable mag rifle, but I don't have any high caps for it. I can load the sks with stripper clips just as fast as I can change mags on the mini.;) plus aftermarket mags that feed worth a crap is an iffy proposition

I've been trimming down my collection, and my Mini 14 is one I'm thinking about dumping. Sure, it's reliable and fun, but the accuracy just isn't there, and it takes too much to make it a good shooter.
