I've looked at all the usual places to find one but the holsters I'm used to don't seem to be made for 1911's....

So... what are you guys carrying on-duty with your 1911? I need a level-2 or higher. I prefer to stay away from the Safariland 070 Level III holster.

I have a Bianchi UM93 (I think, standard Bianchi type). It was bought for my 92FS, but also fits both my 1911 SAs. Dunno if that is the type you are looking for, but hope it helps.

I'll check it out. Thanks for the reply.

**edit**, I can't find the UM93 anywhere.... suggestions?

+1 on Safariland with SLS L2 retention. Long Beach Uniform (Galls) has them for w/m3 or without. LBPD has allowed LEOs 1911s.

The 6280 is Ok but I really do prefer my 070 level III. They might make it in the "raptor" level III series now with the rotating hood depending on your particular frame type. I used to carry my P220 in one. Sold it to a shift buddy when I bought my H&K USP 45. The raptor had a neat system that you just push the weapon down into the holster and it clicks in to lock. Great when going from gun to cuffs.
