Any reason why these are going for more then the DSA receivers? are they any better?

These are not more than DSA receivers, the retail price for DSA is $450, I believe metroshot sells them for $425 when they have them in stock.

If you can order a receiver direct from DSA, the dealer price is $370 shipped and after transfer fees and DROS you will be in the hole for probably be around $440 anyways.

My simple point is that $375 is not considered expensive for a DCI, A DSA will cost you more no matter how you slice it.

Sorry if I am trolling your post Pat.

Also, try getting a DSA receiver...or any FAL receiver for that matter...also consider that Imbel receivers are going for $400-$500 (for a lower grade "type 3"), I think it's a deal for people looking to build a FAL.

Check out FAL receiver prices on GunBroker.com. A used DCI receiver went for about the price of these new DCI receivers last week.

There is nothing lower grade about a type 3, in fact IMBELs are the highest quality and strongest receiver you can get next to an actual FN Herstal. The type 1 and 2 cuts are just for looks.

Guys,

SFV Dealer is #1. I buy from him all the time. Pick these receivers up before they are gone.

Hey guys stop crapping on this thread; if you don't like the price then don't buy from him. Personally, I think that $375 is a very good dealer price on a DSA receiver. If he were closer I would buy one and sell my Imbel receiver that has been in the safe for more like $450.

I have several fals on type 1 receviers and type 3 Imbels, both are high quality and reliable. I would tell my own mom to buy DC stuff if she wanted to. They're good and worth it. The type-1 is the correct receiver for many older Fal kits and looks great. They are more curvaceous and a bit lighter than the Imbel type 3s.

Just doing a price check ... the price for these receivers looks like $375 at the top of the thread and now looks like $399. Is the higher price for a different type of receiver than first mentioned? Not quibbling about the price, just confused about the two different numbers.

Thanks - Corey
