Well I did it. Saiga on the way.

I just ordered a Saiga in 7.62x39 with a 16" barrel. After shipping and the 10 day wait, I should have it in....let me see.....what?......some time in the last week of March :eek: So much for instant gratification.

$249 plus shipping with $50 for transfer and DROS. I am expecting around $325 total. Not the best, but not too shabby either.

Now I have to go find some cheap 7.62x39 and a good place for 10 round mags.

308 is one hell of a round, but I will be shooting at max out to 100 yards. 308 in that case is, IMO, just overkill. Not to mention lesser recoil on the 7.62x39. I hate to say the word, but I was looking for something for close in tactical work ala 3 gun.
