These are actually pretty nice knives for the price. I picked up one of each style during the last Thanksgiving weekend sale. Very solid quality even if made in China.

Yea, I picked up 2 as Christmas gifts. Not bad for the $21 price tag. Not sure if i'd ever buy one at full price though.

That doesn't make sense??? Benchmade doesn't make crap as far as I am aware of. Is this some cheap knock off or am I mis-informed about Benchmade???

These are knives designed and branded for HK by Benchmade. Not sure why Big5 can sell them so inexpensively as retail is listed at $69. Appear to be made for Benchmade under their guidance in China so that and Big5 probably getting some kind of volume discount makes them able to be sold so inexpensively.

Nonetheless they are solid and decent knives. You could do a lot worse for a lot more. Honestly they feel and work as well as my more expensive Spyderco's.

These are very nice knives and i carry one myself.
There's a seller on the non-firearms board selling these if you want another view of what they look like.

I just bought two and.... Meh.
I'm not impressed. I'm going to return them. Was rather disappointed to see "made in china" on the blade. Anybody want them? Will sell them both for $60 shipped. I paid $50 otd, not trying to make anything, just recoup.

HK is in partnership with benchmade, they are not made by benchmade and most likely do not have the same standards for the knifes.

imo i think the sale price is what they should be really sold for, even tho its not a bad deal.

the benchmade vex has been discontinued. the knives are probably cheap because big 5 bought out the remaining stock.

the hk vex appear to be the regular benchmade model with different marks and packaging.

Yep, from what I know, the Benchmade Vex is their Red Label (lower line) knifes that has been discontinued because people were opting to purchase theses budget knifes moreso than their blue/black (quality) labels knives haven't been selling so well. Therefore, Benchmade drop the Vex line to focus on what Benchmade knives are known for. HK knives are actually the Benchmade Vex.
