I'm building a 20" coyote hunting rifle and I want to keep the weight reasonable, but I still want to enjoy the occasional extended plinking session without losing accuracy too quickly. How soon would your groups start to loosen up with a floated GI contour barrel as opposed to a fluted HBAR? Those are the two options i'm really looking at. The rest of the rifle is going to be very light with maybe an ARFX stock, a lightweight FF handguard, etc. Any suggestions on the handguard would be welcome as well, nothing railed, just a very light tube.

Buy a cheap no-rail FF tube then cut slots (or drill a lot of holes) by yourself.

PRI fiberglass forearms are very light in weight. But they are $$$.

JP enterprise should have some forearms marked "Viking Arms". They are also light and sturdy. No rails on those.
