View Full Version : Remington repairs?

Has anyone ever sent a gun back to Remington for repair?

I have a 770 (yes I know it is a piece of crap), which has had constant issues with the bolt sticking, and not being able to cycle rounds reliably since day 1. I've only put 20 rounds through the gun due to this - it is completely unpleasant to shoot.

I called them to explain the situation, and an unsympathetic man on the phone interrupted me, and said "the 770 is a cheap gun, that's just how it is"

I told him that I understand it is a cheap gun, but that I still expect it to work properly, and that it was unacceptable that they sold something that doesn't work as advertised.

He begrudgingly said I could send it to J&G Gunsmithing in Granite Bay, and to download the repair form off of their website.

Is it even worth my time and shipping to send it back to them? I'm worried that they are going to send me back my exact gun, and say that everything works fine, meanwhile, i'm out a significant amount of money on shipping.
