Finally, picked up a flat top upper for my AR. I've had an A2 carrying handle for years with an ACOG carrying handle mount. Got a LMT 16" mid length piston upper. I was originally thinking of a Stag piston, but seeing the quality of the LMT was pretty convincing. Can't wait to take her to the range.

I mounted my Elcan from my FAL to try, but the Elcan is calibrated for 7.62. Should I expect a big difference? Other option is to get a flat mount for the carrying handle mount ACOG and mount it.

welcome to the club! i have the Sig 556 and love this thing. it eats any ammo and cleaning is great!!

the first thing i noticed was the different type of recoil the GP gun has, its more of a rolling effect then a snap.

let us know whatcha think when u hit the range!
