I know I saw a post by someone on this board about building a shooting bench with folding table legs.....I remember the member said they got the plans on the internet to build it...Thanks guys

I don't have any plans for you, but one of the ranges near me just built new benches. They have welded steel legs and poured concrete tops. Man are those some heavy duty benches. If I were setting up a permanent spot, that is what I would do.

and have heard nothing but good things about them, but near 600$ is too rich for my blood. I'm actually thinking of making my own as well.

Those are the best ever. I've considered purchasing one, but that is quite an investment...

I made mine loosely based on that design. I needed something strong and sturdy to support my .50 and it does the trick and then some.
