Any free-state Calgunners had a chance to try one of these out yet? A little pricy, but kind of cool. I might pick one up for the novelty.:p

I have used the 60's (not the 100's) and they have worked 100%, the 60's fit in a 2 mag pouch nicly so that's why I picked them. They didn't reinvent the wheel on these, its a coffin mag made for the AR-15 but it has worked and just keeps on working 30 rounds longer then my standard mag.

I have run them on select fire and semi no major problems so far.

BTW I love SF lights.

i seen deals for $100 for the 60rd but $130 for a mag. even tho i almost bought one i can't justify the price for just one mag. But hey if you are in a free state and have the extra funds. Why not? I would :)

I tried a friend's the other day (surefire). We fully loaded it and it worked flawlessly. Expect to feel some added heft toward the front, obviously. I won't be buying one since I have no need for it. If I needed one, tho, they work nice.

LOL ^^^

If i was to buy a mag for that kind of money and to keep disassembled, it would be that 100rd drum mag!

I've seen too many reports of malfunctioning mags that I wouldnt trust it for competition use, much less for real situations... Factor in the price and my interest is completely gone.

Wasn't sure if by "they didn't reinvent the wheel with these" Nathan meant they weren't the only company making 60 round "coffin mags" for ARs.

That's why I'm trying to see what others have experienced with them. I wouldn't waste my time if a bunch of guys report malfunctions.

Sorry I didn't mean to be misleading. There are 8 types of magazines for firearms. I have all ways called them coffin but it is actually casket.

It may be wikipedia but it is decent info mag types (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magazine_%28firearms%29)
