Earlier this year, we asked the good folks at BCM if they would build us a 16" LW Middy AR. We wanted them to come without a stock, handguard and rear sight so that the consumer wouldn't have to spend money on something they did not want or need.

Well today, they finally showed up! Below are specs and pics of this new AR.

Neat concept to offer just the bare bones. I prefer the light weight profile barrels on a carbine myself. I feel they balance better and they still shoot great, at least the light weight barrels I have tried.

Nice, this would make an excellent KISS rig.

Thanks. I am LW barrel fan (no matter if it is in the mid-length gas configuration or car).

I think what a lot of people do not realize is that they are paying 11% FET on the ACCESSORIES that are on the gun. So that stock, sight and handguard you don't want just cost you money.

Nice nice nice. I love a basic building blocks model that take advantage of the ARs handy attributes. A perfect starter model.

Nice job Grant. I recently built a rifle much like this on a bcm mid-length light weight upper. All I can say is what a great rifle.

That's really looking out for the customers! Will BCM come out with just the upper?

That upper is already out. We had some, but think they are all gone now.
