What is the difference between a rifle and a full length handguard? I have a Stag 4. I want to replace the plastic handguard with a quad rail, but most of the quad rails are only 12" long. I have a 20" barrel, 8"gap to end of the barrel will not look right, or am I making this a bigger issue than it really is? Any advice would be helpful.

Full lenght and rifle are the same. It will look fine. Keep in mind you dont see all 20in of the barrel.

"Rifle length" and "full length" are both the same, there is prety much only 3 standard sizes of handguards,
Carbine length (small)
Mid length (medium)
Full rifle length (large)

this is a 12in hand guard, M16 style. You dont think this looks odd do you?

My hanguards off of this would be good on a 16"?
