Looking to buy a lower for my AR15 build. Anyone in the Sac/Elk Grove area selling them at a reasonable price. Reasonable means less than $150

check sacramento black rifle, TDS, and river city gun exchange. I bought mine at river city for $90. I've seen some at sac black rifle and TDS for about the same.

Bought mine at TDS off Rocklin rd/ granite for 79.99, Aero Precision and am very happy with it and them. Sacramento Black Rifle (in Rocklin actually) usually has the sub $90 always too. Check the ads off the sac bee website

What is the opinion of the Stag Arms lower?

I think most any lower is good as long as it is metal. There are polymer ones that worry some, but it's all preference. The "standard" non-billet lowers are all made by a few manufacturers. While doing research for my own, I saw a lot of: pick one with a logo you like and get it.

Sacramento Black Rifle is really in Rocklin... kinda confusing but anyway, only been there once. The people are pretty cool. I had to assert myself to gain attention from the chatty sales employees but after that they were prompt courteous, I will go there again.

Here is an older advertisement from Sacramento Black Rifle (Dec 8). Pictures of some lowers right there. :) I got my Mega billet lower from them.

It looks like that Del-Ton might be the way to go. Or could I build something better for $750.00. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You probably could build something for that price point but as I did and everyone I know I started going over budget quick since I could do it the way I wanted it instead of buying then switching things out.

You get your lower and a Raddlock from Sac Black Rifle for about $200 out the door. Then for $500 plus $15 shipping, you get this:http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/2552.php or spend $100 more and get the hammer-forged barrel: http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/8978.php

$715 for a complete rifle.

A few weeks back I was in Discount Shooters Supply in Roseville and he had complete Aero Precision lowers with the Surplus Ammo & Arms logo for $149.
He does 3% off for cash, but I don't know if that price was before or after the discount.

They looked like these:

I've read way too many good things about PSA on here and some other forums. For about the same price you can order a PSA kit.
They've got the standard M4 kit for $470 and the "hammer forged" kit for $519. That's a complete kit with everything other than your stripped lower.

Well, you could get that upper for $450 here (http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/2261.php), and then get an MOE Lower Build Kit for $125 here (http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/598.php) and you'd have some upgraded furniture for a bit more instead of buying it all later. If you aren't interested in the Magpul stuff, that's a great deal for sure!

Everyday low price complete uppers $399 you can't go wrong. $299 complete lowers. Also a shop full of AR parts. You will not find a better selection in Sacramento.

Do you have a preference whether it is the lightweight version or not?

I read up on the lightweight vs standard before I ordered mine, and the consensus was, if you aren't going for an all-out lightweight build, get the regular.
