I need to understand some abbreviations you folk use here. What is OLL?
Then my friend and I discuss the pre-Ban and Post Ban date on the evil rifle
(AR15, FAL etc). What year is considering Pre-ban and Post Ban?
Thanks

OLL = Off List Lower

Pre ban and post ban equates to a specific date in 1994 when the Clinton crime bill was voted by the US House of representatives. the terms Pre and Post ban were only usefull to Federal AWB (Assault Weapons Ban) matters and since the Federal AWB sunsetted in 2004 10 years after its enactment those terms are null and void for the most part.

and not used in law what so ever when it comes to the California laws.

Read the items below and learn about the California law relating to OLL's and other items we talk about here.

FOR REFERENCE ONLY:
Here is a link to an explanation of the EXPIRED Federal Assault Weapon Ban officially entitled the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 that was in only effect for 10 years between September 14, 1994 and September 13, 2004.

Do not confuse the Federal Assault Weapons Ban details with those of California SB23 which went into effect on January 1, 2000.
