What is the best device to fix a 10 round mag in a FAL build ? is there a bullet button type device ? also where can I get a 10 round metric FAL mag ?

I've done the setscrew modification to the mag release a few times. You can also fit a pin into the recess of the mag release to limit any forward movement...that's the elegant way as it doesn't change the outward appearance of the rifle.

Search, my friend:D

The fal files is a great resource.

DSA makes 10-rounders.

rssslvr and jp make real good 10 round FAL mags with full length 20 round tubes.

I think they make FAL locks too.

I'd like to point out that the DSA 10 round magazines do not have any 922r compliance parts.

Maybe it's just me, but I try to shy away from relying on US made mags or mag parts for the 922 count. Id rather just add a few extra US parts to the rifle than have to deal with whether or not I can use this mag, or that mag. I guess if you have a pinned 10 round it doesnt really matter because thats the only mag you are going to use. But if you have a no-features build, or registered AW, and a bunch of standard cap mags, it can be a PITA keeping track of which mags you can/cannot use.
