View Full Version : Now that I have an XD now what?

I was sick last night so I called in sick today, Went to pop off a few rounds, then drooled over the Springfield XD's at the store/range. I have no self control so I bought the XD45.
The only tactical light/laser they had was a Glock one with a $150 price tag, I almost bought it, but I thought I should do some research. Any suggestions? Is there anything in that same price range that is better? Thanks for all replies

Spend the money and get a surefire or streamlight. Personally the glock lights look and feel cheap. I think a few members here have a Surefire x200a on sale for a few dollars more
edit to add don't have any personal dealings with this guy but:
make sure that the springfield has a standard rail for the light to fit on

Go here for XD info: www.xdtalk.com
save your money and get a streamlight tlr-1 . just as good as surefire and half the price at $100

I'd save the $150 and buy another gun:o

on the streamlight TLR-2
Also, think about customizing your XD. I have a service model myself which I want to put some night sights on.
xdtalk.com has a list good places that specializes on all things XD.

Get a light, get some nightsights, then just leave it alone.

Thank you for all the suggestions gentlemen, I think I'm going to go with the Streamlight TLR 2, that Glock one did feel pretty low Quality.

+1 on the TLR-1. I have one on my XD-45 for HD.

Quick q on the TLRs (looking at one for my SA 1911). Do they have a momentary remote switch out for it yet?
