Are these German silver tip surplus safe to use for the m1a?

1990's Surplus German NATO 7.62x51 (.308) ammunition. This is beautiful, accurate ammunition packaged for long term storage. Features a 147grn lead core full copper and nickel (magnetic) jacketed bullet, brass case, and non-corrosive berdan primer. Packed 20rds in a box, 200rds (10 boxes) in a sealed waterproof PVC battlepack. While supplies last.

Just read a article, is this the same ammo?

Good ammo but if you are in SOCAL most ranges wont allow it because
the bullet sticks to a magnet. Pete

I've shot plenty of that stuff out of my M1A Scout. Good stuff. Pretty accurate for surplus ammo, too.

But like already posted, make sure you can shoot it at your local range. Mine doesn't care (South Bay Rod & Gun).

I became a member this past weekend, looking forward to getting out there again very soon!

Some of the best ammo I've shot out of my M1A. This and the Radway are the most accurate Nato surplus out of my riffle.

Seemed like good ammo to me, but I was using a Saiga .308 instead of an M1A.
