Rare mag... I guess that is the price people think it's worth.

Wow I lol at the person who bought it for $1825.00... I just do not think I would have the discretionary funds for something like a AK mag that is the cost of a really nice AR. The gf would def dump me over that, hope that guy is single.

To each his own.

It all comes down to what floats your boat. I would not be interested at $100.00 if it were legal but it is to someone because of it's rarity.

I would say it is time to dump the gf.....cause if she is already in your money business....what happens if/when you get married? I never understood why people combine money, bank accounts, etc. It is one of the top reasons for divorce. I am very happily married with kids, etc. My wife has her own account and I have mine. We both make our own money...and spend it how we like. The only thing we combine our money on is household bills, kid bills, etc. If the bills are paid...food on the shelves...clothes on the kids...the rest is just gravy. Good luck to you.

Take care,Stan

I though this would be a link to someone selling a regualr AK mag but just a typo with the price.
SMOKES, someone bought it, its looks like an interesting design, wonder if anyone can incorporate it into a .223/5.56 STANAG magazine :) (Besides surefires 60 and 100 versions)

Well the same could be said about that really nice AR too....
I can build 3-7 ak's depending on kit for 1800 bucks.
And AK's are supercalifragilisticespealidocious! "did I spell that rite lMao"

Humm No thanks!! A 10/50 I cant see it. Its like Surefires 10/60 or 10/100. Just don't see the point.

You're bashing of the AR platform and constant praise of the AK platform is getting to be extremely annoying and somewhat childish actually... Just saying. .

ah so this is the famous quad stack. I was in DAS last week and this kid like 14 years old was asking colby about them. He told the kid that they were rare and if the kid found some to buy an extra one for him :p

Seriously I looked at the 1825 price tag and though that 129.00 was just pocket change until I realized whats really going on hahahaha.

Thats just ridiculous. I'd rather buy 2 new AK's, Dual wield them while emptying 30 round mags into the owner and conquering him for the $1800 mag! :D

The quad stack magazine has been around since the 1930s.

Izhmash made quad stacked 5.45x39mm 60 round AK magazines in 1990s.
SITES made quad stacked 9x19mm 50 round Spectre magazines in the 1980s.
The Fins made quad stacked 9x19mm 50 round Suomi magazines in the 1930s.

To be fair I almost recently bought an East German Secret Police smooth bore assasination kit made by HK with a letter of authenticity from HK. It was $700 and it caused quite a ruckus with my wife. Didn't really care about the item, thought it was rare and a good investment. Decided to pick a better battle rather than piss off the spouse, to each their own.

I do not know about ths mag but it seems like it is more for a collection rather than use. people are quick to jump on people for paying these prices for things but just like the rest of us that pay 2000+ for a magpul lower or 400-500 for a Larue lower.

For that price, it better have diamonds and be showered in gold.

100% correct... This is a collectors mag not a $17 Chinese surplus mag. For a true collector where money is no object.

Same here. Bump the pot method. I told my wife up front that my guns have been here much longer than you have.

How would you permanently block this to make it CA legal?

MrPlink
12-05-2011, 4:24 PM
start with this
http://www.dandbmilitaria.com/ekmps/shops/dandbmilitaria/images/ak74-magazine--[2]-5182-p[ekm]219x300[ekm].jpg
multiply by 2

then add this
http://www.spiritwalkministry.com/yahoo_site_admin2/assets/images/duct-tape-3m.256104841_std.jpg

and you end up with 10 extra rounds, better reliability - all at a fraction of the price only with induced cost of a quick mag change

I wonder if Magpul or someone affiliated with them snagged it up. Looks like something that could easily be replicated if you had the know how and the machinery.

Bingo.. even if I had the money I wouldn't buy it.. well, if I had Bill Gates money I would. :)
