So i've been in the market for an AK47.

I was on atlanticfirearms and saw this:

Russian AK47 WA B47 (http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct1028.aspx)

So... my question is what is the difference between WA AK47 vs the Arsenal SGL 21-61? They look very similar. Does the WA AK47 use double stack mags?

I'm also looking into getting this because cause it's cheaper. What do you guys think of it? Other than looking different, how much is this similar to Arsenals AK47?

Russian Saiga AK47 (http://classicarms.us/semi-auto%20rifles.htm)

Basically they are all the same gun.

Arsenals are just converted Saigas.
WA B47 appears to be a converted Saigas as well just done by a differnt company.

Yes its double stack:
The rifle will take normal hi capacity magazines and AK 75 round drums . Comes with 1 -30 round mag... 10 round AK mag for CA compliance

Yes, you could get a Saiga and do the conversion yourself

If you read the description for the WA AK47 it clearly states that it will accept hi-capacity magazines.

Also just want to point out that while it's true that Arsenal guns are also converted Saigas, they have the correct dimpled receiver as well as both the accessory and bayonet lug. Judging from the photo above, the WA version lacks the dimples and the accessory lug. And you're not getting a name brand AK like Arsenal.

Is it a big deal to have the correct dimples, accessories and bayonet lug? Or just more of a personal thing.

It's a personal thing. The dimples are to reduce mag wobble. I have AKs with and without dimples, Doesn't really make a difference. If you've ever felt the need to bayonet something you'll want the lug otherwise...

Either one or any of the other 500,000 types of AK will still be a reliable durable rifle.

Arsenal probably orders this or similar version to work on:
http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct708.aspx

And it looks like the Russian AK47 WA B47 probably bases their work on this newer imported version from Izhmash, which comes pre semi-converted already:

Don't Arsenals had cold hammer forged barrels? Does this one?
