Does anyone know of a site or resource I could use to find a slightly used rifle? I'm looking for a .308. I'd love a Sig SSG 3000 or a Remington 700. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Uhh, those are seriously opposite ends of the scale. A 700 can be had for 500, an ssg 3000 is going to be somewhere around $2600.. if you can find one.

gunbroker.com or even the calguns marketplace would be places to look, but you seriously need to consider what your options actually are and what model 700 you're looking for. That's like saying you want to buy a car but can't decide between a cadillac cts-v or a kia.

Thanks! I know they are complete opposites, but if I have the $, I'm gonna go for the Sig. I'm going to see what is available at what price and go from there.

But considering the massive difference and lack of specifying with remington 700, what do you even want to do with it?

I'm ex military and am looking for rifle I'll never have to replace. I'm not too familiar with owning my own rifle or this site. I was just trying to find out some more resources for used guns.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I found exactly what I was looking for in the marketplace.

Cheers

If your willing to go semi auto, a M1A or PTR91 both are fine rifles, and they won't break the bank. both can be found on this site used, also search Gunbroker.com, Backpage.com, or buy new/used from local gun shop. You can make a nice Vietnam era sniper rifle replica out of a M1A.

http://www.turners.com/

click on the anniversy sale and sign up for the email.
also if you scroll to the bottom of the calguns website and click on the turners section on friday they have Calguns members specials.

do your own research and know what you want. the salespeople usually are not gun savy . most are there to sale a rifle with only fundamental knowledge of what they are selling.
