I got some info on a spot off of "Blue Ridge Dr" in Sequoia National Forest in

Springville, CA from a fellow CalGuns member. I would like to find out if anyone

else has some info on "Shooting Rules" in Sequoia National Forrest. I will

only be shooting handguns and was thinking about bringing some paper targets

and some empty cans. This is my first time shooting in the open besides at a

shooting range, So any info will help.

Also, what else should I bring in terms of equipment? Folding table, etc?

Thanks everyone...

Shade, cooler, trash bags, something to lay guns on (tarp).

I have a place above springville in ponderosa and I have always shot up there with no problems. It is posted no shooting or hunting near springville and camp nelson and ponderosa, but once you get away from all the houses your perfectly legal. Just take one of the many trails or fire roads off for a mile or so and cut loose. Did you ever find the holster you were looking for? Did you pick up your ccw yet?

You can call the headquarters in Porterville or stop in at the station in Springville.

I used to shoot near Ponderosa/Quaking Aspen a lot when I lived in Porterville.

@pkbirdog

I think I will be going with the Crossbreed Supertuck in terms of IWB holsters, also I barley submitted my fingerprints last tuesday, so I am thinking 3 more weeks minimum before i get a call to pick up my ccw.

It was like 2 weeks for me after the fingerprints.
