Still waiting for my new flattop upper to arrive, so I thought I'd slap the EOTech on an M38 for laughs.

Thats a weapon of mass destruction! Taking that in public could make millions of innocent civilians laugh themselves to death. Just imagine it with a pistol grip, not only could you kill them with laughter, but you could shoot forever without reloading! :D

Rad! I just ask if someone has done this in the C&R forum a couple of weeks ago. Now you have a sight worth 6 times the amount of the rifle and you kept the grand total under $400.:D

When I say, "Don't Bubba a mil-surp" I get yelled at. Yet when someone else says it, it's kosher.

Synthetic Monte Carlo stock with no cheek rest, WOW. I don't have the words to describe my feelings. Although I think you should duct tape a full size MAG-Lite to the stock in order to build the rifles full potential.

I'm thinking that I'll JBWeld a 30-round magazine on, and find some way to attach a quad rail so that I can fully tacticool this one. We're talking laser, night vision, flashlight, Maybe a demilled M203.

just kidding. The EOTech is for a 16" upper that I have coming in the mail in a few days. This rifle is tempo-bubba'd. ATI Monte Carlo drop-in stock, rail that screws into the rear sight mount, etc. All easily reversible...all of the original parts are in a bag in the attic. The modifications make it so that this rifle goes to the range much more often than it would otherwise. I've friends who can't handle the full-power loads with that damn steel buttplate.

Trim the barrel to 16 inches and spray with Krylon. I'll help you out.

Don't be silly. I'd never cut the barrel of a Tula Mosin. That's why I just ordered a bunch of Finns. And those Finnish rifles are pretty nice, so no Krylon...maybe some Rustoleum.

At least it's all reversible.

I always wanted to make an "Un-Assault Rifle." All the evil features I could pull off, on a Pump or bolt action. Forward grip, bayonet lug and flash hider were no problem, but it never got off the drawing board due to the lack of bolt action folding stocks. Now with the Rem. 7615 I'm dreaming again, slowly.

It seems a Mosin would be a great candidate for this type of thing, cheap and easy to mod. So long as your not making permanent mods to a highly collectible rifle, enjoy. In Fact, even if you are, it's your gun, Have FUN!
