Wanted to give some feedback on my experience with G&R Tactical.

I have always wanted a 6940. Since the day they came out I had always dreamed of owning one. I know it's just "another AR, which it is. This one is different. The monolithic rail is put together really nice.

I'm a very "smart" shopper, my way of saying; I'm a cheapskate!
I searched High & Low for the best prices and a retailer that would ship to CA. I noticed Grants threads here on Calguns about the 6940. I respected that he is an active member and proudly serves our fubared state.

The order was painless and he even offered free shipping and no credit card fees. The total was $1310 shipped! The cheapest I found was $1350 not including shipping and credit card fees. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Thanks G&R Tactical!
Now for the pictures!

First thing I did was, ditch that hideous stock for a Sopmod and added the Acog TA31

Good purchase. Looks way better after you changed the stock. The results are in and everyone thinks that factory stock is hideous.

Congrats. I'm picking mine up from my FFL on Monday. Ordering was painless and I got mine from G&R too (didn't get free shipping, but the price was good nonetheless). Mine should have come with the regular Colt M4 stock instead of the one yours did, but that SOPMOD looks nice. May have to think about it.

What's great is that Grant has supported Californian's while many vendors choose to disrespect us and make snide remarks about our state.

While I like the regular M4 stock better in looks than the stock that comes with the 6920 and 6940, I thought the Rogers stock the way it feels was incredible. I'm not changing it.

^+1 on the stock. I got to fondle one yesterday it feels like the moe stock to me. I don't particularly like the lever on it. Seems like something that could break off.

That being said I want my 6920....

I didn't care for the super-stoc cheekweld.
Everything gets the sopmod stock.
That's the most comfortable stock I've used.

before y'all go hatin on the super-stoc, any of you fired a weapon with one?

I picked mine up friday and broke her in good saturday night.. several hundred rounds of clp smoking goodness.. my shooting partner [marine/leo], rangemaster, and myself all really liked it.. and we're far from noobs with this weapon platform..

the super-stoc is firm and functional.. the added tension lever is not realized on a new one but is designed to take up slack that will develop over time, and it releases simultaneously when the adjustment lever is pulled.. the cheek weld is comfortable and rapid follow-ups were dead on..

I would suggest not knocking it until you've tried it.. looks are meaningless compared to funtionality..

"it's a tool not a jewel"

I agree---I liked it so much I got rid of my M4 and put the same TYPE
Magpul on my SIG 556 which needed the firmness and better cheek weld! Pete
