Not sure about the new ACS-L though

The new ACS looks better than the old version (always looked kinda funky to me). But the new SRT looks a to be a definite improvement over the CTR (better cheek weld/Battery compartments). I Might have to pick one of those up.

Mmm, ACS-L looks nice... Cant decide on that or the UBR.

Reminds me of those LMT and Ultor stocks (Emods, I think they're called?)

Yep but its about time magpul made a more compact stock with a better cheek weld. Both versions of the acs are ugly to me though

i had the ACS, my only complaint is the length. I might have to get one of these...they look sharp.

Both nice and their prices are damn reasonable.

Magpul could make one out of poo and I'd still like it, though.

I like it, but for now I think I'll stick to the imod. It's 3/4" shorter, 3+ ozs lighter, and I like the buttplate/pad design better. Still a nice setup though. I would probably run the STR on a 16", just not my 14.5. They ought to offer it like the ACS-L without the battery tubes

Damned STR is a sexy one...

What's with the flat section on the bottom of the STR? Looks like something is supposed to go there. I'd like it if it wasn't for that.

They do. It's called the CTR.

They both look cool, although I am not sure what niche the ACS-L fills.

By the way, this has been bothering me for a while, and maybe one of you can help me out. What exactly does "Type Restricted" refer to, as in "Carbine/Type Restricted" and "Storage/Type Restricted?"

wondering the same thing myself.

I bet its just so you can sound cool at the range.

"Hey, what kind of stock is that?"

"Why it happens to be the Storage, Storage Type RESTRICTED that is"

after you say that, the other guy will be all

Agreed, looks like unnecessary bulk
They do. It's called the CTR.

Meaning with the bigger cheek pieces and not the tubes like they did with the new acs-l vs the old one with tubes. It could have been built substantially lighter, yet more than adequately durable

I like them both... but they still look like the others.

Reminds me of how GM use to make old Camaros, Trans Ams, and Firebirds on the same chassis, engine, and transmission... but just change up the appearance a bit.

I'll take the robot foot over the UGG boot of the SCAR.

Restricted means they have a friction lock. It gets rid of wobble if they dont fit your buffer tube perfect.

^^^ That's why I bought the Vltor. The Magpul stock didn't feel comfortable, except for the UBR. And that STR's cheekweld looks like the Vltor EMOD Stock. And the EMOD has that little door like the ACS.

I like the str it's kind of like the acs and ctr made love and out came the str.

Looks like an orgy of designs from Vltor and Magpul.

^^^ That's probably the "Skull Crusher" like on my ACE Hammer. Jager made a UBR strike plate/skull crusher.
