This may be a stupid inquiry...I've looked everywhere on Google, MSN, and Yahoo. I 'm looking for AR-15 stands. I might be imagining things, but I recall seeing stands whereby the AR-15 was set into a block shaped like a magazine which was all part of the stand, and the rifle could be displayed upright. Any ideas? Is this real or did I dream it?

No you didn't dream it, I almost bought one but they're expensive. Awesome idea, fits in the mag well and holds the rifle up for display, cleaning, or storage on a wall mounted unit. I don't remember what the name of the company was though so my post is really no more informative than to just tell you they do exist. Someone will know

Advice from Captain Obvious: "If you do not have a registered AW, make sure you are evil-featureless or have a Bullet Button installed on your rifle before using one of these!" :D

The BB provide another level of safety when you mount your rifle like this for display.... someone who have no idea what's a BB will take a LONG time to figure out how to get the rifle OFF that mount!! :D

(be sure to hide an appropriate tool and a loaded magazine close by, just in case you need the rifle yourself...)

you could purchase the AR-15 civilian model. im not certain about the legalities/availability of the "patriot" front end.

I have a bunch of the Horizontal wall mounts from plastix plus. They work great.

I'm on the verge of moving to a free state and like the idea of occasionally keeping my AR in the truck, but I don't want it as obvious as a rear windshield gun rack. Maybe I can rig up one of their wall mounts to the inside of the suicide rear door on the driver side. :43:
