I just spoke to a Cproduct rep this morning, and he said that the Cproduct straightbody 20 rounders are going to available in "10 days" which is March 10th.

Now we are all aware of the Cproduct 10/30 mags sold by tenpercent firearms.

So if we rally enough interest, we can get Cproduct to make us a batch of 10/20 out of these sexy straightbody mags with Magpul followers.

If they look like the old M16 straight 20's, I would be good for at least 2 myself.

I'm still waiting for my order placed in December so I think I'll wait.

Yes, they will look exactly like the old school USGI straight-body "vietnam" era mags.

Cproduct knows that CMP contestants hate having to hunt down straightbody mags, and then be forced to pay a lot for them, not to mention they can't use the magpul followers that are meant for curved 30 rounders.

I was working on a deal with Stag to make 30 round mags pinned to 10 rounds? are the 20 rounders hotter?

Thanks
Chris

definitely, I mean a shorter mag for prone fire or bench shooting, but still long enough to accommodate a magpul. and all those guys who want to build retro looking ARs or do CMP competitions will be ecstatic.

Chris- I think the 20 rounders, esp with magpul floorplate, will be the hot ticket for the new bullet-button builds.

1. What followers will be used in these magazines?

2. How do you dissassemble the magazines to replace the springs and followers when necessary?

I'd be interested in 4 or 8 depending on quality and design, for use in service rifle high power.

I still use Colt 20 round AR-15 magazines with alloy followers using Tubb silicon springs, but it would be nice to have some low capacity magazines in 20 round straight body configuration for service rifle high power.

The Magpul followers are what interest me. I've got several of the Bushmaster straightbody 10/20's for high power shooting, but the followers are less than ideal. Doesn't Magpul use the longer "legs" fore and aft to reduce/eliminate tilting?

C Products keeps backing me up on my 10/10 mags, so don't get too excited about these. It might be a while. They said the 9mm mags were going to be ready in December and we still haven't seen those either. I think they have bit off more than they can chew.

i would probably get at least one, is it possible to install the hard plastic magpul on them?

It should, they always come with removable floor plates.

I wouldn't get too excited about these. C Products has so much on their plates it might be a while. I will see what I can do, but it has been a chore just to get 10/10 mags recently.
