Over six months ago, I did not care for AR's. I ignored them at the range while I enjoyed shooting my Relics....

Then I went to the San Francisco Gun show a few months ago and I decided to try to build one. I purchased a JD upper with a bull fluted barrel.

After a few weeks of searching parts I needed, I finished building my 1st AR, here it is.

I took it to the range and it fired well after zeroing in the el cheapo scope on it.

I will upload pictures of my later AR-15 if you guys are interested... :chris:

Having the front scope mount on the handguard has the potential to change your zero.

BTW, how do I make the pictures show up in the post without having to "click" on each one?

No worries, I was just teasing :p

As Tonyxcom already mentioned, the scope rings should not be mounted on the quad rail; and the other thing is that I see what appears to be russian ammo for what appears to be a precision build. I'm sure its just to get on paper though!

Either way its a very sexy build, I love that FDE!

The Wolf ammo is for having fun shooting steel at the range. I use 62 gr Federal when shooting 200 yrds with our club.

Here are some pix of my 2nd build. I know, I know, the hand guard will be green soon. This is an RRA upper I picked up for a good deal. Spike's Zombies lower...really like the lower. Will have a dual stage RRA NM trigger soon..Enjoy!

How does one make the actual pix show in the post?

In order for the pictures to show in the post, they need to be hosted somewhere.

All that and your shooting that steel-cased ammo? :p

I like the fluted barrel, how heavy is your rig?
Nice job.

Nice job.

The fluted barrel one weighs in around 10.5 lbs. It is heavy for stand up shooting but it is great for bench or when in prone...

I personally don't like an M4 stock on a precision rifle. An A2 will give you a better cheek weld.

No problem. Nice rifles. I agree with Luchador, you would be better off with an A2, A1 or Magpul UBR stock.

Looks like an accurate build. Why would you shoot steel cased ammo out of it?

I like that rifle! however I would have a really hard time putting such a cheap scope an awesome upper!

The first rifle shown was my first AR-15 ever, so I was still (still am) learning about them. I know it has a cheap scope, as I mentioned in my post, but it was something quick to get shooting. I will be getting a good scope to use on my new AR-10 and on my Bull barrel AR-15.

My 2nd one in the 2nd set of pictures was a great deal and it is great for shooting steel.

My 3RD AR-15 (not shown yet, will post soon) will be for shooting at my club matches.

Now I need to make more money because I am broke!!!!:sweatdrop:

I am getting a Magpul PRS for use in my AR-10 and the precision AR-15 (different buffers/springs of course)... what do you guys think?
