I've got a Ruger MK512, and I put an Ultradot 25 on it. It's been a great sight - very accurate and reliable. The Ultradot's a target/competition sight, so you don't see as much buzz about them as the tactical red dots, but it's one of the best of its class, and they're not that expensive. They're popular on the bullseye circuit - see the bottom of this page: http://www.bullseyepistol.com/dotsight.htm
The main problem with my setup is I have a bulky mount, and my MK512 is 50.5 oz loaded with the Ultradot and mount - heavier than my 1911! Still, the MK512's a heavy one in the first place. I have an Ultradot 30 in a pair of Leupold Rifleman rings, and it's about 6.5 oz.
You can get th Ultradot 25 here for $120 with rings - http://www.ultradotwest.com/ - or you can find them used sometimes at rimfirecentral or ebay. Note that Ultradot has bought out another line of more tactical sights - their Strike Dot is supposed to be the same as the Hakko TacPoint. These new gen sights don't get as good reviews as the classic Ultradots, so buyer beware.

+1 on the Ultradot. Seems to be pretty popular for rimfire pistol shooters, and my experiences with them have been pretty positive. Multiple modes of brightness, and the dot isn't fuzzy.
Seemed like a good unit when I tried it out.
