Just get an AK! Mini 30's can be picky on ammo and if you want featureless saiga both ak saiga n sks are far better choices.

I have one and a mini14. I like them both and can break clay pigions at 100yds which is what I do with them mostly.

Mini's are solid rifles. I had a 30 when I was younger & it shot very well. I have a 14 now & it's great as well. Can't go wrong with a Mini.

BTW, my Mini 30 was more accurate than my AK.

AFAIK...
Early ones were .308.
Current ones are .311.
