All this black friday sale talk, has gotten me in trouble. Looking for good deals via the web sites, (looking for things I needed) I located an OK deal on an M1A Scout Rifle.

I looked around SD and Bud's had one for sale for a better price than I could get around here, so I ordered it and it will be inbound to Gussler's sometime next week. Looking forward to this rifle...

Enjoy your M1A! I've had the same rifle for about 9 years now. I got it to replace my FN FAL PARA which I sold in '89. No regrets, great rifle: "Bring Enough Gun"!

Did you get the scout with the black, green, or the walnut stock?

I found the best price was with a green stock. Actually wanted a black one but I suspect the green stock with be fine. It will match the sling :). I can't wait...

Welcome to the M1A Scout club? I got mine about a year ago. While I really wanted the green synthetic stock, all I could find was the black one.

I'll switch with you if you want.

In any event, I'm sure you'll enjoy the rifle. The Scout version is my favorite. 18" long barrel is just the right length for this rifle.

Very nice
They are a lot of fun to shoot and handier than the full size model.
Enjoy!

I can't wait to get this rifle. Looking for ammo as I type. Any recommendations where I should be looking for the best deals on good ammo?

See if you can find a classic 2x Aimpoint and a Ultimak that is the best setup I found for mine.

Just learn to use the iron sights at first so you can appreciate how great they are

I plan on using the iron sights, but where is every body buying their ammo these days? What is the best deals for 7.62x51 ammo and is Malaysian ammo any good? It stated non corrosive, but not sure.

Heck, I have a new unfired M1A Scout that I was going to sell along with 10 new CMI 20 round rebuilt kits, for lower that what a shop wants.

But I'm still thinking about it, the M1A is a nice rifle. I have 3, good luck.

Malaysian ammo is supposedly pretty good stuff. I havent shot any yet but I've heard good things. Ammoman.com has the stuff along with some other types with very good prices delivered to your door.
