I am thinking of getting a 1911 in 45acp, it will be a range gun and home gun. I have came to these final choices. Which one do you guys think is the best of these three? If you own any of these three please post some pros & cons, and or upgrade recomendations.

Given your choices though, I would say Kimber.

Go with Kimber from the choices you gave.

Take a look at Springfields if you haven't already. I have found the Springfields to have sharper edges than the Kimbers but they are good pistols.

For your application of range and home defense, I would get the Kimber Custom, which is all steel with 5 inch barrel. You don't really need the Pro Kimber (4 inch barrel with aluminum frame) because you didn't mention carry, where the shorter barrel and lighter weight would be valuable. The heavier gun with longer barrel is easier to shoot well.

The Colt model you mentioned doesn't have a beavertail, and might beat up the web of your hand a bit, as mine do for me. I have one Kimber and 6 Colt 1911s, so I think they are all good guns.

I have both a Kimber Custom II and a TLE... WITH INTERNAL EXTRACTORS!!

I have never had a malfunction that I didn't cause!

I do have a Kimber Eclipse with a Malfunction (external) Extractor... Stay away from them!

I'm partial to Kimbers (I have 5, one with an external extractor). Never had a problem with any of them. Don't really like the feel of Springers. The Colts seem nice but don't have one to comment on. Of your choices listed...The Custom would be my choice hands down. Good luck!

The kimber custom has an internal extractor right?

Depends...almost all Kimbers had external extractors for awhile. All newer Kimbers have an internal extractor. If it is a recent new Kimber, it should have the EE. Unless its an older pistol that the dealer is trying to get rid of, then it may be a new Kimber that has an IE. Cear as mud right?:D
