View Full Version : Bad customer service at Reseda.

11-11-2011, 6:59 PM

Picked up Ruger single six stainless yesterday from Reseda Turners after more than an hour wait. I couldnt see the finish on the stainless in the light of the store, i checked the gun after coming back home and found that there is a big patch of poor finish on the gun.

Went back to Turners and the manager at turners refuses to acknowledge its a defect he says its not a defect, its ridiculous after paying close to $600 he says its not a defect and its acceptable. He says that only thing he could do is to send it to Ruger to get it fixed, and I have to pay for shipping and what ever charges Ruger charges and have to wait for six weeks.

I am really not happy with the customer service and this will be my last purchase with turners, they are rude, dont acknowlege issues and treat customers as if they are doing a favor by selling stuff to us. I could have bought this gun from budsgunshop for the same price, just got it from them to support the local store.

These guys need to take some serious customer service lessons.

These guys dont deserve our business. I got a stainless because i care for the looks of the gun, and the manager says its acceptable (Bull ****).

OP, I'd call Ruger to see what they say. Maybe your salesman is correct but maybe hes not and they have a solution for you.

My point is after paying that much money, its the responsibility of the store to keep the customer happy, not to give crappy excuses. And dont want to pay for shipping and wait for 6 more weeks.

Turners, if you are reading this thread , I want to return the Ruger Single Six for a full refund and also i Drosed Arsenal sgl21 yesterday when i picked up Ruger Single Six. Now i want my money back that i paid for SGL21, including DROS don't want to give any more business to Turners.

Dont have patience to deal with crappy service.

What is it that you wanted Turners to do?
They cannot just exchange the gun, you would have to DROS the new gun 25.00, I'm sure the gun to be returned would have to be DROS'd back to turners 25.00. The gun you purchased was new and in the box straight from Ruger and was probably first taken out of the box when you arrived to pick it up and it was given to you for inspection. So If you could not see the defect, Turners also could not see the defect. The issue truly is with Ruger and the gun should be repaired by Ruger, I don't really see any other option here. I understand your upset and I would be too, I know how excited we are to pick up our new firearms after having to wait just 10 days, and then hearing you have to wait another 6 weeks is terrible but again it is not Turners fault. You have told us that your unhappy with the way Turners handled the situation but have not told us what your solution is. You've also already come onto a public forum and thrashed them and stated you'll never shop there again so I'm not real sure what there motivation would be to try and help you at his point.

i want full refund for the gun, let Turners deal with Ruger.

It is Turners responsibility to keep the customer happy, dont tell me its not their problem, i paid them not Ruger. And also acknowledge the issue, treat customers good, don't bloody deny everything.

Op, bonzaii is correct. You accepted it. Think about it like this,
The warranty on your car is handled by the factory, not by your
Car dealer. You Cant just give your car back if you find a scratch
In it the day after you bought it. Guns are the same you just can't give it back and
Get a new one unless the manufacturer offers you a new one through their warranty
Process. I have sent a rifle to ruger before and they only took 3 weeks to get it back to me. I appreciate good service just like the next guy but there is a process for everything.

I have bought enough cars and they do they care of the customer. I think i know what i am talking here.

The reason i bought from a local store is to get good customer service, i could have bought online for cheaper.

thanks for your post.

Raptor, how about posting a pic of the bad patch of finish? There are plenty of guys on this forum who own Single-Sixes that could either back you up or back up the store.

turners is by far worst business ever, they couldn't find there own car in the parking lot. they should not even be in business.

but. it should be inspected, and if you didn't see it, turners should send it to ruger for repairs for you. no refunds. but that's actual customer service, cs and turners don't belong together.

all gun sales are final in most places.

What pisses me off is that, per turners its acceptable finish and its not an issue, after spending almost $600.

I am happy to inform that Don, general manager of Reseda store just called me and offered to give me a new gun. I am heading to the store in few hours to return.

This is called customer service. Big thank you to Don.

congrats on the customer service. its rare.

It's rare when two level headed parties can't come to a reasonable agreement.

Glad everything worked out.

Normal procedure is that once a firearm is released to the customer, it would be sent out for repair if there are any issues with it. Obviously, there are certain times we can make exceptions to this.
